Well Sue, despite my earlier decision in my email I'm with you on this challenge! Having (I think) successfully installed coComment and managed to see how my comments are being tracked from the 'comment08' tag, there is just one wee snag.

I commented on a couple of sites where there were no tag fields that I could see. Is that just tough luck, or is there something else I need to know about tagging my comments?

(Love the Preview function by the way - something I miss on edublogs)

Something else I found out Sue. The 'comment08' tag appears to be removed when Preview is used. Another catch for new players?

I have signed up for Co-Comment, and started to track my trail around the world of blogs where I have commented. And so many refer to your blog here -- The Bamboo Project.
I'll do some exploration, if you don't mind.
My thoughts on Co-Comment:
It seems user-friendly but the advertising may lead me to disable it after this month. I can't stand the scrolling merchants tumbling into my eyeballs as I write.

Hi Kevin - thanks for the feedback and I will pass that onto cocomment :) . Will let you know their response.

Kevin:
May I suggest AdBlock Plus? http://adblockplus.org/

Sue:
I tried installing coComment; however, the Firefox extension is not 3.0-compatible. Also, the bookmarklet uses some javascript that is not compatible with NoScript, which is an essential add-on for my internet use. I am testing other services, such as co.mments.

Cheers,
Dimitri

Kevin,

It's cool -- I also use co.mment. Provided someone uses cocomment and tags the same post you comment on with comment08 we will find it on cocomment and can share.

Michele, one thousand apologies for calling you Sue! Just two of many botches I've made since I started the 31-Day Comment Challenge. But by all accounts I'm among friends where that's concerned :-)

It's been an exciting first few days and you guys are so helpful - really good stuff on your blog sites for slow learners like me. There is a real synergy in this Challenge. I sense it whenever I start reading comments from participants. Like myself, they are obviously very excited about it all.

But, y'know, you bloggers seem to be having such fun that I decided to start a blog of my own.

There's so much to learn!
