I'm a trained Career Development Facilitator instructor with over 10 years of experience in working with companies and organizations to use career planning to build their workforce. I was an HR Manager for several years and have a clear understanding of the HR issues most organizations face. Some of the services I provide to support career development include:
- Developing and delivering customized workshops and retreats to facilitate your employees in developing their own career plans. Supporting Lifelong Learning and Professional Development with Technology
With the advent of a variety of free online tools has come a great opportunity for organizations to help their staff learn on an ongoing basis. I can show your organization how to help staff create their own personal learning environments (PLE) so that professional development is embedded into the work day and not solely dependent on workshops and other "event-based" training. Some of the ways I can work with you include:
- Providing workshops and retreats on using new technology to support daily learning. These can range from sessions on how to use a number of different tools to construct a full PLE to focusing on how to use individual tools such as blogs, RSS, wikis and other resources to support professional development.
- Working with your organization to develop and implement lifelong learning supports that make the most of freely available tools and resources. I'll help you figure out what you need to accomplish and then we'll identify the best tools for the job.
