Ongoing career planning and lifelong learning are critical skills for every worker. No matter what your occupation or field, to stay competitive in a global job market, you need to continually develop your skills and be aware of where you want to go next in your career. These are your best defenses against lay-offs and career stagnation.

Developing Your Career Plan
I'm a trained Career Development Facilitator Instructor with over 10 years of experience in working with people to help them figure out what they want to be when they grow up and what they need to do to get there. My approach is to teach you the career management skills and tools you need so that you can take charge of your own learning and growth. Some of the ways we can work together include:

  • Helping you assess your passions, values and strengths to construct your personal and professional mission statement and career goals.
  • Assisting you in exploring and thinking through various options for reaching your goals.
  • Developing and implementing a career and learning plan that will get you where you want to go.
  • Providing ongoing coaching and support if you feel the need for a career tune-up now and then.

My goal is to help you learn how to manage your own career. I've done my job well if by the time we finish working together you don't need me anymore because you know exactly what you need to do to continue growing and developing professionally.

Setting Up a Life-Long Learning System that Will Keep You Current in Your Field or Prepare You for Another Career
Over the past few years, I've experienced a personal and professional learning renaissance because I've learned how to use new technology tools and techniques to turbo-charge my own learning. These tools have helped me stay on the cutting edge of my field and have provided me with access to tons of people and resources who help support my professional growth and development.

This is something I can help you do, too. I can:

  • Work with you to figure out your learning goals, needs and personal learning style.
  • Assist you in developing a plan for ongoing learning that can help you embed professional development into your daily life so it becomes part of what you do, rather than something that only happens once in awhile.
  • Provide you with coaching, support and resources that will assist you in implementing your learning plan.

If you'd like to learn more, please feel free to email me. I'm available for individual phone and email consultations and happy to work with you to construct an affordable plan that will work best for your career and professional development situation and needs. I also have tons of self-directed resources that can help you move forward in your career.
