Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants

NpcarnivalWell, it's that time again. This week's Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants was an open call, so we have posts on a variety of topics.

From the nonprofit marketing arena, Nedra Kline Weinreich of Spare Change generously shares the slides and resources from her successful Next Generation Social Marketing Seminar held in DC last month in a post entitled The Ten Cs of Social Media. Also, Getting Attention's Nancy Schwartz reports on a 2007 Nonprofit Marketing Survey that provides a snapshot of key trends, while Donor Power Blogger Jeff Brooks suggests that maybe telemarketing isn't a bad approach after all. His bigger point that we can't rely on our own personal preferences in developing marketing programs is a great one.

In other posts, Carol Kirshner of Dollar Philanthropy asks "Is it a Good Idea for Big Philanthropy to Partner with Big Pharma?", which opens up some interesting questions about the pitfalls of developing partnerships between nonprofits and business. Britt Bravo of Have Fun, Do Good shares a great interview with Van Jones, co-founder and President of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. And if you're looking for some thoughts on how to use GIS in nonprofits, then Heather Carpenter of Aspiration Tech might be able to help.

Finally, as always, Michelle Murrain of Zen and the Art of Nonprofit Technology provokes some thinking on the role of technical support in organizations with her post, Technology Support as Teaching. And my bonus post for the week is on Using Netvibes for Learning, Advocacy, Marketing and Customer Service.

Check out these great posts and then be sure to visit next week's issue of the Carnival at Donor Power Blog.
