I just got the Flip for my stepson for Christmas. Don't know how it works yet, of course, but I've heard good things and thought it might be a good starter camera.

How old is he? I got harry the $10 CVS digital camera last summer. He's ready for the kiddie camera now from Hasbro.

He's older--17--but has never really used a lot of media tools. From everything I've seen, a smart kid like Harry would be pulling a Stephen Spielberg in no time!
